When designing and implementing a new data center, today as never before, the energy aspect and its relative impact on the environment are two unavoidable factors. In recent years, the continuous growth in the amount of data to be handled, machine performance, energy dissipation, implementation costs and environmental impact risk associated with data centers has been accompanied by the development of different and gradually more effective cooling technologies.

The European Union's commitment to fluorinated gases (f-gases) is concrete. In fact, thanks to a new regulation being published in the European Official Journal, emissions from f-gases, now widely used in various devices such as air conditioning units, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems, will be reduced to zero (by 2050). The revision of the F-Gas Regulation, in addition to progressively restricting the overall use of synthetic refrigerants, also introduces bans on the production or importation into the territory of the European Union of products containing these gases and the relevant ban dates.

In Milan, the Lorenteggio neighborhood is being transformed into an open-air museum of urban art to pay homage to the Winter Olympics to be hosted by the Lombard capital in 2026. For the occasion, 38 facades of the neighborhood will be colored with unique and diverse murals depicting winter sports.

Rising in Castenaso, on the outskirts of Bologna, will be the new Green Village residential complex that welcomes and respects nature. Covering an area of about 52,008 square meters, the "village" will consist of different housing units: 12 duplexes, 2 single-family houses, 36 apartments and 16 four-family houses to adapt to any people's housing needs. Each building, with its own architectural feature, will blend into the surrounding natural environment.

Genoa will host one of the largest and most futuristic urban redevelopment projects on the border between land and sea.
