Health comes through the Quality of the Air We Breathe

What is air quality?

Air quality is a measure of how much air is free of elements characteristic of air pollution. It measures, therefore, how healthy the air we breathe is.

The air, in the environments we experience on a daily basis (home, office, restaurants and stores, factories, etc.), directly influences the permanence of the individuals who occupy them.

Knowing what contaminants are present*, and controlling their quantity, helps reduce, or even greatly limit, the risks of future health problems and ensure greater comfort for all.

The Air of Our Time

In Western countries, it is estimated that humans spend approximately 18 to 21 hours indoors (homes, offices, public spaces, transportation).

*Source: Ministry of Health

90 percent of our time is spent indoors, increasingly isolated from the outside air: we breathe 10,800 liters of air (we drink around 2 liters of water/liquids), which in confined spaces is often, and on average, between 2 and 5 times more polluted than that breathed in open spaces. Polluted air causes complications in people's health, leading to the death of about 524,000 people a year in Europe*.

What are the benefits of breathing good quality air?

Breathing air of excellent quality has many benefits for people, including lower occurrence of allergic diseases and asthma, as well as achieving better oxygenation levels.

An environment with optimal air quality is recognized by:

  • Air free of impure substances
  • Controlled temperature (and at optimal levels)
  • Continuous ventilation
  • Control of humidity levels

Air Conditioners with PLASMA QUAD Technology

PLASMA QUAD is the Mitsubishi Electric brand active air filtration system developed for the abatement of indoor pollutants.

The filter system breaks down 99% of airborne viruses, bacteria, and mold, eliminates 98% of allergens (e.g., pollen), 97% of dust mites and dust, 99% of airborne PM2.5, and also captures and eliminates odors.

You can find the PLASMA QUAD filter system:
. Integrated into the Kirigamine Style (MSZ-LN) range of air conditioners, thanks to the PLASMA QUAD Plus filter;
As an accessory compatible with products in the Residential, Commercial and CITY MULTI lines, thanks to the PLASMA QUAD CONNECT filter
The effectiveness of the PLASMA QUAD filter against viruses, bacteria, mold and allergens has been certified by independent laboratory tests.

How do PLASMA QUAD Plus and PLASMA QUAD CONNECT work?

The Plasma Quad filter purifies the air as it passes through the air conditioner.
