Chillers
Designed for the efficient and reliable production of chilled water, our air- and water-cooled chillers are the ideal solution for modern IT cooling systems, enabling significant energy savings.

Mitsubishi Electric's air-cooled chillers, with capacities from 20 kW to 2440 kW, are specifically designed for data center cooling. They can be configured in free-cooling mode to take advantage of low outdoor air temperatures, reducing compressor load and improving efficiency.
Different solutions are available, equipped with fixed-speed or inverter compressors: scroll, screw, or oil-free centrifugal types.
We have chillers working with R410A or R134a refrigerant gases and also with environmentally friendly refrigerants such as R32, R454B, R513A, and R123ze.

Water-cooled chillerscan be used effectively for cooling in data centers being more efficient than air-cooled systems. They can handle high cooling loads, making them suitable for data centers with high-density servers. Solutions are available equipped with scroll, screw, and oil-free centrifugal compressors operating with R410A, R134a or environmentally friendly refrigerant R454B, R513A, and R1234ze.The cooling capacity produced ranges from 50 kW to over 4,500 kW.
In addition, these chillers ensure the maintenance of indoor conditions, which is critical for the reliable operation of IT equipment, and are scalable to meet the growing cooling needs of expanding data centers.
Room cooling
When designing the IT cooling system for server rooms, two key factors must be considered: density and capacity. Mitsubishi Electric offers a wide range of products, allowing you to achieve the perfect balance of these two factors to meet any specific application need.

Our perimetral direct expansion units CRAC are equipped with high-end components, including BLDC compressors, microchannel heat exchangers and EC fans.
Designed to simplify installation, they efficiently cool server rooms and IT infrastructures.
Available in different configurations, with cooling capacities from 6 to 140 kW, they operate with both refrigerant R410A and environmentally friendly refrigerant R32.
Each unit meets Mitsubishi Electric's highest standards on quality, performance, and energy efficiency.

Our chilled water perimetral units CRAH are designed with water coils with copper pipes and aluminum fins treated with hydrophilic coating. They are equipped with plug fans with high-efficiency EC motors and flow control valve.
The combination of these components offers highly efficient cooling solutions for data centers and server rooms.
This product family covers a wide power range, starting from 5 kW up to 230 kW.

Rack and Raw Cooling
Rack and Row cooling solutions are designed by Mitsubishi Electric for data centers, in order to manage the heat generated by servers and other IT equipment.

The Rack Cooling system foresees the integration of the cooling system directly into the server rack. The occupied space is thus optimized by allowing a higher density of installed power within the same space. Rack cooling units are efficient for high-density environments and allow cost savings and power consumption reduction.
Row Cooling locates the cooling system in proximity to the server rack, typically within the same row. These units effectively handle high heat loads and can adapt to changes in data center layout and server configuration. They offer flexibility and small footprints, making them ideal for data centers with limited floor space.
These two product families, available both direct expansion with R410A refrigerant and chilled water, can provide cooling capacity from 10 kW to over 70 kW.
Air Handling Units
AHU are essential in data centers to regulate temperature, humidity, and air quality. They circulate and filter air, removing contaminants and cooling it to dissipate heat from IT equipment. Equipped with state-of-the-art components, our AHUs ensure optimal conditions, prevent damage to equipment, and manage airflow in a customizable manner. The design is made to achieve maximum energy savings, and the wide choice of options makes them suitable for all kinds of requirements.

Our air handling units are designed to treat outdoor air with innovative rotary enthalpy heat recovery and energy-efficient fans. They integrate seamlessly with direct expansion split air conditioning units, ensuringhigh efficiency and easy installation.
The air handling unit controller fits perfectly with the outdoor split air conditioning unit, maximizing efficiency.
In addition, the control logic and advanced components ensure precise modulation of thermal and renewal air requirements, maximizing comfort and minimizing energy consumption.
Heat recovery solutions
Heat recovery from data centers is becoming increasingly important, and the Energy Reuse Factor (ERF*) is set to become a key parameter for data center design. Mitsubishi Electric can provide heat recovery solutions both for on-site reuse and for integration into district heating networks.
*ERF is a measure of the amount of energy reused divided by the total amount of electricity supplied to a data center.

The high-temperature water source liquid chillers rrepresent an innovative solution for the disposal of heat generated in IT Cooling applications and its recovery as a source to produce very high temperature water, useful for meeting the entire heat load of adjacent buildings with less waste. The wide range of water temperatures at the evaporator outlet makes these units compatible for both air and liquid cooling systems.
Units are available equipped with both scroll and screw compressors,operating with R314a refrigerant or environmentally friendly R513A and R1234ze refrigerants. Depending on the product family selected, it is possible to produce hot water up to 78°C or up to 85°C.

Our multi-purpose units are always able to meet cooling and both heating and cooling demands, even and especially with simultaneous loads, maximizing the energy efficiency of the system and ensuring zero local carbon dioxide emissions.
The use of a unit that independently produces both heating and cooling makes the system considerably less complex: technical space is reduced, the hydronic circuit is simplified, and unit maintenance is halved.
