Air Source Heat Pump Single Phase PUMY-SM-VKM

The product has been completely redesigned and re-designed according to the use of the new R32 gas, introducing technological solutions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The advantages and benefits generated for the environment by using R32 are several, in fact:

• the lower global warming potential (GWP) is for R32 reduced to 1/3 compared to R410A gas;
• the refrigerant chargeislower: -79%, or 7.5 kg compared to 11.9 kg for the Small Y Compact solution in R410A;
• it provides more energy efficiency.

The solution consists of the Small Y Compact PUMY-SM-Y/VKM outdoor unit to which residential and commercial indoor units in the catalog today can be connected, in the sizes and models listed:

The configuration possibilities are even greater: only with residential or commercial indoor units via PAC-MMK40/60 Branch Boxes or in mixed configuration, with Branch Boxes and VRF indoor units.

The Branch Box is a model designed specifically for the use of R32 gas and is available in 4- and 6-ortho, AtA configuration. In addition:

• has the connection of refrigerant leakage sensor "Sensor & Alarm Kit" for the management of safety measures;
• has larger dimensions than the previous model;
• has exclusive compatibility with PUMY-SM-Y/VKM (R32);
• is not compatible with Small Y (R410A) systems;

It is mandatory to provide safety measures for R32 gas.

For each indoor unit and the supervisory room (where required by EC60335 2-40 Ed.6), the PAC-SK60SA-E sensor and alarm kit is available.

The kit is a device for refrigerant leak detection. It operates in two different scenarios: main and supervisory, where the supervisory alarm is needed for the required IEC60335 environment.

The device has visual and audible alarm (65dBA) and is to be used in configuration with Branch Box, to which it can be directly connected.

The Small Y Compact PUMY-SM-Y/VKM series outdoor unit is connectable to indoor units from the VRF range shown in the table:

Remains the possibility of configuring the outdoor unit with either VRF City Multi indoor units only or in mixed configuration with Branch Box and residential/commercial indoor units.

It is mandatory to provide the safety measuresfor R32 gas according to IEC60335 2-40(6):

• PAR41MAA-B control unit equipped with audible and visual alarm;
• City Multi indoor units with sensor included.

The VRF City Multi indoor units of the MS series are dedicated to the use of R32 gas and usable only with PUMY-SM:

• 4-way cassette units: PLFY-MS VEM-E;
• channelized units : PEFY-MS VMA-A

They are equipped with an on-board sensor that detects refrigerant leakage, which will need to be replaced if leakage is detected.

The PAR41MAAB remote control has built-in audible and visual alarm, compatible with all RAC/PAC/VRF indoor units both R410A and R32. It replaces the previous model PAR41MAA.
