The functions that Mr.Slim Next enables on compatible machines are:

3D I-see Sensor
3D i-see is the new 360-degree rotating sensor supplied with Mitsubishi indoor units. With a total of 8 elements, this sensor can detect room temperature distribution, presence, number and position of occupants every 3 minutes, optimizing energy savings and ensuring ideal comfort conditions
Comfort
By activating the direct/indirect function, the user will be able to decide whether or not to direct airflow to areas where the presence of people is detected. Thanks to the Seasonal airflow mode, the system is able to maintain an excellent level of comfort, avoiding cold drafts in cooling and counteracting the stratification problem typical of the heating mode.
Detects number of people
Room occupancy energy-saving mode
The 3D i-see Sensor detects the number of people in the room. It then calculates the occupancy rate based on the maximum number of people in the room up to that point in time in order to save air-conditioning power. When the occupancy rate is approximately 30%, air-conditioning power equivalent to 1°C during both cooling and heating operation is saved. The temperature is controlled according to the number of people.
No occupancy energy-saving mode
When 3D i-see Sensor detects that no one is in the room, the system is switched to a pre-set power-saving mode. If the room remains unoccupied for more than 60min, air-conditioning power equivalent to 2°C during both cooling and heating operation is saved. This contributes to preventing waste in terms of heating and cooling.
No occupancy Auto-OFF mode*
When the room remains unoccupied for a pre-set period of time, the air conditioner turns off automatically, thereby providing even greater power savings. The time until operation is stopped can be set in intervals of 10min, ranging from 60 to 180 min.
When MA Remote Controller is used to control multiple refrigerant systems, “No occupancy Auto-OFF mode” cannot be used.
Horizontal airflow
The new indoor unit is equipped with the "horizontal airflow" function, which allows for an air throw that laps the ceiling (Coanda effect) thus increasing the feeling of comfort perceived by the occupants.
Drain pump included
The PLA series units are not only easy to install but also The provision of a drain pump
with a head of 550 mm facilitates the drainage of condensate water even in critical conditions.
3D Total Flow
3D Total Flow is an innovative function for horizontal and vertical control of flow. the 3D i-see sensor, which can autonomously detect room temperature, when installed on the new 3D Total Flow accessory allows advanced and intelligent use of airflow according to the occupant's needs.
3D Total Flow: 360-degree flow control
In addition to conventional vertical flow control, the use of horizontal fins of 3D Total air flow allows each outlet to control the flow by 90°. With this feature, the four sends provide 360° flow.
Fine-tuned Sensing & Airflow Direction Control
Swinging
Since airflow can be controlled in the horizontal and vertical directions, you can efficiently make the entire room comfortable.
Targeting
The system can detect spaces with uneven temperatures and target them by sending air even if they are in a diagonal direction.
Indirect Mode
When set to "Indirect" mode, the system detects the position of a person and maintains comfort while diverting airflow away from them.
Direct Mode
When set to "Direct" mode, the system detects the position and diverts airflow towards wherever they are located.
