Mitsubishi Electric's Lossnay Solutions

Mitsubishi Electric's Lossnay VL-100 and VL-50 solutions, with an air flow rate of, respectively, 100 m3/h and 50 m3/h, are mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery that create and maintain a high level of indoor air quality while saving energy.

The units allow fresh air in and stale air out simultaneously, thus ensuring a high level of indoor air quality. The unique built-in Lossnay heat exchanger, consisting of a special paper structure, means that the intake and exhaust air flows are not mixed, ensuring that only fresh air is brought in while allowing effective heat and humidity exchange.

Unlike more sophisticated systems that require a ceiling installation and a network of ducts that travel through the various rooms, the installation of VL-100 and VL-50 is very simple: for VL-100 only two holes in the outer wall are needed to pass the ducts through, which simultaneously supply and exhaust air, exchanging valuable heat. For VL-50, the hole needed is only one.

The Lossnay VL-50SR2-E unit is designed to meet the needs of those small rooms in which they do not want to give up the benefits and well-being associated with air exchange but do not have the possibility of carrying out onerous and invasive installations.

The VL-50SR2-E is the first mechanical fan to use a single duct (Ø120) for the extraction of stale air and the intake of fresh air. In fact, it has a single duct divided by a septum in which both air streams flow: the expelled air to the outside and the fresh air to the indoor environment. This is a significant advantage in that a second hole is not required during installation. In contrast to common products available on the market that, under the same installation conditions, work alternate flows, the VL-50SR2-E model allows for simultaneous fresh air intake and stale air extraction, with heat recovery.

In fact, the VL-50SR2-E is equipped with Total Lossnay heat recovery, which reduces the heat load associated with the fresh air through high-efficiency heat recovery, providing significant energy savings. Thesmall size and sleek design make it suitable for residential applications of various types, in common household environments and small rooms.
