Packaged Excellence - MEHP-iB
Reversible heat pumps equipped with Mitsubishi Electric variable-speed scroll compressors and low-GWP R32 refrigerant.
MEHP-iB-G07 is the new packaged heat pump dedicated to the needs of residential and commercial environments: heating, cooling, and year-round domestic hot water (DHW) production. The monoblock solution results in a compact, plug-and-play unit, thanks to the integrated variable-speed hydronic module. The full inverter technology (compressor, fan, and water pump) is optimized to achieve very high efficiency under all operating conditions.
An extended range
10 sizes, developed in compact modules optimized to cover a power range from 7 to 40 kW. Single-phase units up to 15 kW and three-phase units from 15 kW onward.
MEHP-iB-G07 is Mitsubishi Electric's new range of heat pumps for the production of chilled water, hot water for heating, and domestic hot water, with rotary or scroll variable-speed (Inverter Driven) compressors optimized for R32 refrigerant and high-efficiency EC fans. The unit is equipped with an electronic expansion valve and integrated hydraulic module complete with standard variable flow EC pump. MEHP-iB-G07 adapts to a wide range of load conditions through accurate temperature control combined with the use of inverter technology, ensuring a high level of energy efficiency at both full and part load
System efficiency
The unit is designed according to a holistic approach to HVAC systems: all components are integrated in synergy with each other according to a proprietary logic that maximizes unit efficiency.
High efficiency at partial loads
High seasonal efficiency values due to the modulation of all electric motors in the unit: compressors, fans and water pump. The unit delivers exactly the required capacity in line with the building's actual energy need: high efficiency results in reduced energy consumption during the unit's operating period.
Smart Grid Ready Function
MEHP-iB can work with modern smart grids, thanks to the built-in SG Ready function.
A Plug & Play Solution
The MEHP-iB-G07 series units are monoblock heat pumps that are particularly easy to install. The components of the hydraulic circuit are all contained within the unit, and the pipes connecting to the system are plumbing, so there is no need to perform the typical installation procedures of direct expansion air conditioning systems (vacuum, refrigerant topping up, etc.).

The low GWP of this refrigerant positively impacts both direct and indirect global warming, thus representing the preferred choice for forward-looking installations.

Operating range
One unit to heat, cool and produce domestic hot water
MEHP-iB-G07 can produce both medium-temperature water for space heating and cooling and domestic hot water up to 60°C, without auxiliary accessories. This key feature makes MEHP-iB-G07 a viable alternative to classic gas or oil heating systems in residential and commercial applications, thus useful in pursuing the goals of decarbonization and electrification of heating systems
Technology choices
Structure
Structure made of self-supporting panels of hot-dip galvanized steel, painted white (RAL7035), with distinctive red stripes and black details (fan grilles, handles).
EC fans
Axial fans with EC motors, with continuous speed regulation that optimizes airflow rate ensuring low energy consumption and higher efficiency.
Source side exchanger
These are copper/aluminum batteries, sized for best performance under all working conditions, including during defrosting. Battery protection grids provided as standard for all sizes.
Variable speed pump management
MEHP-iB-G07 provides, already mounted on board, a state-of-the-art pump with:
- EC motors
- Variable flow control logic of the VPF.E type
Refrigeration circuit
Electronic expansion valve controlled by a specific algorithm (DSH control) optimized for R32 refrigerant to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Compressors
High-quality and reliable Mitsubishi Electric compressors optimized for R32 refrigerant and controlled by inverter. Compressors have soundproofing and are installed on rubber vibration dampers. Twin rotary type compressors up to size 11V and scroll type compressors from size 15V and up.
HMIs
Compact keyboard (standard, on board)
Standard interface. Features a full LCD display and ergonomic keys for data display and multi-level menu navigation. The compact keyboard is protected by a metal cover and is mounted on the unit.

Touch room HMI (optional)
Environmental interface, with 4.3" touchscreen display, with the following functions:
- Unit controller (heat pump control)
- Room thermostat via built-in temperature and air humidity probes

Connectivity Accessories
- Different communication protocols available via dedicated boards (Modbus, BACnet,...)
- KIPlink
Zone management
Touch screen HMI (optional) with air temperature probe and humidity probe to control environmental parameters. Unit parameters can also be controlled with this interface. With the built-in zone management of MEHP-iB-G07, it is possible to control the room temperature in two different zones.
