The WR2 line of water-cooled units is available in two new modules: module Small and module Large.

The Large module makes it possible to deliver up to 24 HP (69.0 kW in Cooling and 76.5 kW in Heating) with the use of a single module, reducing by 50 percent the floor area occupied in the technical room of installation previously required to deliver the same power.

In systems consisting of several modules, on the other hand, the introduction of the Large module makes it possible to reduce the number of modules installed from three to two, reducing the space required by 33%.

For powers greater than 14 HP, the reduction in the number of modules provides greater ease of installation by reducing time and cost.

Significant weight reduction also allows to benefit from easier transportation and installation.

Adoption of the single module in Large version enables weight reduction of up to 44% compared to the previous series.

The WR2 line of units guarantees top-notch EER and COP values while improving on the (already high) performance of the previous series.

Both in single-module and multi-module models, cooling and heating efficiency values have been increased by up to 34%.

The inherent property of geothermal systems to maintain a favorable and constant temperature throughout operation makes these systems among the most efficient in the world.

The VRF CITY MULTI line and WR2 VRF systems inherit all the benefits of the Y line by using water condensation and evaporation units.

Water-cooled condensing units benefit from being able to be installed inside buildings allowing even greater design flexibility and virtually no limitation to the size of the infrastructure.

Relating to the capacity of the outdoor unit, up to 26 indoor units can be connected to a single condensing unit and up to 50 indoor units to a modular system with individualized and/or centralized control.

The two-pipe system allows transition from cooling to heating and vice versa, ensuring that high comfort is maintained in all zones.

Water-cooled YLM units are equipped as standard with an automatic water flow rate control system so as to make it possible to reduce the amount of water circulating in the system and consequently pumping consumption when the system is working at reduced load

Flow rate modulation is via a voltage signal (0-10V) that can control the opening and closing of a control valve (not supplied by Mitsubishi Electric).

Thanks to the initial pre-setting of the system, water circulation in the heat pump is guaranteed even in a situation of temporary power failure.

The outdoor units of the WR2 line perfectly embrace the field of geothermal energy by benefiting from a carrier fluid--water--that from 10m below ground maintains its temperature constant, without significant temperature fluctuations throughout the year.A geothermal system uses the ground as a heat source in winter, and as a hot well in summer.

Thanks to the use of geothermal probes (heat exchangers) and VRF CITY MULTI and WR2 systems, it is possible to extract heat from the ground to heat the room in winter and give up heat to the ground to cool the room during summer.
