MELCOTEL handles badge and window contacts.

Application Example:

When the badge is inserted, the indoor unit turns on with the setpoint temperature set by MELCOTEL (e.g. 21°C). The room client changes the setpoint, setting it to 24°C.

When the badge is turned off, the machine turns off. When it is reinserted, the indoor unit switches to ON with the setpoint of 21°C, the one set by MELCOTEL (condition reset), in order to ensure energy saving.

• The badge contact allows the badge to be reset upon reinsertion of the status (setpoint temperature) set by Melcotel.

Application Example:

The indoor unit is turned on, with setpoint temperature equal to that set by MELCOTEL (e.g., 21°C). The room client changes the setpoint, setting it to 24°C.

When the window is opened, the machine shuts down to avoid energy waste. When the window is closed, the state before opening is automatically restored. The machine returns to ON and the setpoint is reset to the room customer's wishes, 24°C.

• The window contact allows the previous state (ON/OFF state, setpoint temperature) to be restored upon reclosing the window;
