Mitsubishi Electric for the Abi d'Oru Hotel in Sardinia.

The Hotel Abi d'Oru is a 5-Star facility overlooking the white beach reserved for guests, in the Gulf of Marinella, four kilometers from Porto Rotondo, in the vicinity of the Costa Smeralda.

In recent years, a modernization of the old air conditioning and heating system, which consisted of diesel boilers and refrigeration units with evaporative tower, has been carried out at the facility. This ensured, on the one hand, maximum internal comfort for the clients of this fine facility, and on the other, full respect for the delicate balance of the ecosystem surrounding the facility, between the sea and lagoons where numerous specimens of pink flamingos often remain.

To serve the existing structure and the new wing with suites and SPA, and to heat the swimming pool, a TECS2/XL-CA 0452 and a FOCS-NR/XL-CA 2022 heat pump, both branded Climaveneta, a Mitsubishi Electric brand, have been installed to combine high efficiency and quiet operation. Air is distributed to the rooms by i-LIFE3 fan coils, and 2 air handling units, 1 xWZ-E-A-2920 CA and 1 x WZ-E-A-2300 CA, have recently been installed to serve the common areas and bedrooms.

The entire system then, is controlled by ClimaPRO+, which intelligently manages the units by optimizing the recovery phase and using the cooling unit when pool heating and domestic hot water production are not needed.
