According to data provided by Assoclima taking a snapshot of the market, in the third quarter of 2021, the segment of hydronic (air-to-water and water-to-water) centralized heat pumps with a capacity of less than 17 kW recorded increases of 222.6 percent in volume and 233 percent in value. The desire to protect the environment coupled with the international geopolitical situation is greatly driving the search for green/electrified solutions for heating and cooling of residential units, especially residential.

The demand for green/electrified heating and cooling is also growing.

To respond to the challenges imposed by the industry, Mitsubishi Electric has renewed and further expanded its range of heat pumps with new solutions that employ cutting-edge, energy-efficient technology to ensure maximum comfort at all times.

New additions include:

Ecodan Multi is a full electric "hybrid" model (both air-water and air-air) that combines in a single machine all the advantages of the two worlds, such as the typical comfort of water solutions combined with the maximum energy efficiency with reduced consumption of direct expansion air conditioning, not to mention its ease of installation and the possibility of dialogue with a wide range of indoor units from the Japanese company.

Particularly suitable for new buildings, Ecodan Multi provides water heating and domestic hot water production or, through direct expansion indoor units, air heating and summer air conditioning.

Comfort, quietness and functionality are guaranteed down to -20°C, and the flow water temperature of up to 55°C allows it to adapt to any system configuration.

Inwall 2.0, revamped and more compact, is an outdoor built-in solution that encloses all the components of the central heating, cooling and domestic hot water production plant inside, and fits well with the contained spaces of newly constructed buildings.

The new cabinet, completely redesigned for easier and faster installation, includes a template for plumbing connections that streamlines and reduces plumbing connection time. The new 175l kettle boasts a new insulating jacket that has reduced heat loss by about 20 percent compared to the previous model. Two optional domestic water kits are also available with Inwall 2.0, including a polyphosphate dispenser and a thermostatic valve.

Ecodan Minisplit are revamped air-to-water split heat pumps with R32 refrigerant and now feature more compact chassis, longer pipe lengths, and improved seasonal energy efficiency.

Ecodan Minisplits achieve class A+++ in heating and A+ in domestic hot water production, guaranteeing performance down to -25°C for optimal comfort even in cold temperatures.

IBX2 N R32 is a range of upgraded variable-speed reversible packaged air-water heat pumps with R32 refrigerant from Climaveneta, a brand owned by Mitsubishi Electric. IBX2 N R32, with outputs from 6 to 40 kW, includes all major hydraulic components and is coupled with a new V3000 Plus controller that has increased the machine's connectivity possibilities and is compatible with SG Ready, which enables the management of photovoltaic systems.

Ecodan R290 is a range of air-to-water heat pumps in "hydrosplit" version that adopts propane as the refrigerant, virtually zero emissions, connectable to Hydrotank modules with 170-200-300 liter sanitary storage.

Ideal for upgrades of existing buildings as it can reach a flow temperature of 75°C, suitable for efficient heating with existing radiators in homes and reducing sanitary reset time.
